The Scottish government is offering a £10 million prize (more than for innovation in marine renewable energy. First minister of Scotland Alex Salmond explained: The Saltire prize is the Scottish Government's way of playing its part in inspiring a revolution in clean Green energy as the world enters a new golden age in innovation prizes.

The Saltire prize holds great promise for all of us". It sounds like the Scottish are determined to succeed. Given our island has such green entrepreneurs as Eddie O'Connor, William Dick already mining this deep resource a similar incentive could be offered here For a bankrupt nation the prize could be a lot more than any of us realise.
