British Marina Industry Shares Knowledge With Ireland On Summer Networking Tour

#IrishMarinas - The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) from the UK received a warm welcome from marinas throughout Ireland during their recent summer networking event.

Over the three-day tour earlier this month, 21 British marina professionals visited and shared knowledge with marinas at Carrickfergus, Bangor, Malahide, Dun Laoghaire, Royal Cork Yacht Club and Kinsale Yacht Club, most of which are accredited with 5 Gold Anchor status.

“Our busy schedule provided a fascinating insight into high quality marinas and yacht clubs in Ireland," said TYHA general manager Jon White. "We were provided excellent learning and networking opportunities, a taste of Irish history and culture, topped off by some first class dining! Thank you to all who joined us on the tour and to everyone who supported the event.”

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven’t put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full–time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
