Bear Grylls to open Cowes RIB show

Ribex 2010, sponsored by Suzuki and running from May 7-9 at Cowes Yacht Haven is on course to yet again be Europe’s largest boat show devoted entirely to RIBs. Adventurer Bear Grylls, who will tackle the Northwest passage in a RIB this summer, will open the show.

Organiser Hugo Montgomery-Swan is delighted that so many prestige companies have booked space at this year’s show, with a number of European product launches taking place at the show.

Big names such as Yamaha, Raymarine, Humber, Icon, and Ribeye will exhibit in addition to over sixty RIBs of every ilk ready to give sea trials from the marina.

Yamaha will stage a European launch of new engines at the show whilst Finnish boat builder Paragon will be showcasing a new 31' cruiser. Not to be outdone Cobra, Williams, Piranha, Zodiac, Capelli and Renegade will also be showing brand new craft for the first time.

To ensure the show wakes up Cowes there will be a three band concert on May 8th featuring Seth Lakeman and his band, and Swans in Flight with no less than Hugo Montgomery-Swan appearing as a band member!
