Fife calendar published

22nd October 2008

Sailing photographer Marc Turner releases his second Fife Regatta Calendar for 2009. This inspirational calendar has been specially created as a tribute to the yachts of William Fife & Sons.

Of all classic yachts, those designed by Fife and built in Fairlie, Scotland, around the turn of the century are amongst the most beautiful and prestigious. The third Fife Regatta, held in June 2008, brought many of them back to their home waters of the Clyde, to race, celebrate and honour William Fife & Sons.

Marc Turner is an experienced sailor and sailing photographer having taken part in and documented important events and regattas from an early age. Marc has been passionate about sailing since a teenager, getting afloat on all types of boat from 420 dinghies through to RTW Race boats and Classics. Marc is currently a senior staff photographer based with the Herald & Times in Glasgow, Scotland.

The stunning photography captures the magnificence of these classic yachts sailing in Scotland. The simplistic design elements of the calendar have been carefully crafted to compliment the imagery, and nature of these yachts. The attached sample spread illustrates this. The calendar is beautifully printed on high quality paper and is sized at 300mm by 300mm folding out to 300mm by 600mm when wall hung. The calendar is available at marine stockists and is now available to purchase online as a unique Christmas gift.
