Fireworks to close Shannon stretch

11th March 2009

Skippers are advised by Waterways Ireland that the stretch of navigation from Banagher Bridge southwards to the first adjacent Red (Port) and Black (Starboard) navigation marks, a distance of approximately 600m will be closed to navigation from 20.00 hrs until 21.00 hrs on Sat 14th Mar to facilitate the firing of pyrotechnics. Masters are requested to note any instructions and advice from organisers marshalling the event.
