Racing will be provided for 15 classes, with an Offshore Committee Boat starting races for Classes 0,1,2,3, Sigma 33, First 31.7 and White Sail Cruisers. The latter will be split into two fleets for higher and lower IRC-rated boats.
On the Inshore course, one-design classes include Etchells, SB3s, Puppeteers, Ruffian 23s, E-Boats, Squibs and Howth 17 Footers, with all being given courses Lambay Island, weather permitting.
The rounding of Lambay always presents varied challenges, with different conditions on the various corners of the island, as well as the often fresh conditions on the return legs back to Howth.
The ‘Lambay Lady Trophy’ will be awarded to the class winner with the largest time differential over the runner-up. Post-racing activity will include a ‘salsa barbeque’, a late bar extension and live entertainment from top band ‘Boogie Nights’.
