A 'temporary ozone hole' has formed over Ireland & UK due to acid droplets in recent stratospheric clouds destroying ozone, according to London based Meteorologist Simon Cardy who tweeted an image of the hole this morning.

Cardy is a Meteorologist specialising in weather impacts for the Energy Industry (trading, demand forecasting, renewables, power networks).
