Buoyant ICRA Commodore Barry Rose has revealed George Sisk's new boat Wow, Paul O'Higgin's Rockabill IV, Rob Davies' Roxy 6 and Anthony O Leary's Antix are all entered for June's ICRA National Championships in Crosshaven in seven weeks time. Vinny O' Shea's Yanks and Franks and Brian Goggins new Azure are also among 50 boats that have entered.
At a meeting in the Royal Cork Yacht Club last night it was confirmed that visiting boats on trailers will be lifted in and out in Crosshaven at a reasonable cost. It's a decision according to Rose that will provide a major boost for the event and greatly assist visitors and help rose to hit his 100-boat Cork harbour target.
The race programme features two courses. "The determination is to make this event a carnival of serious racing and good fun " Rose told Afloat.ie
ICRA have presented a new second Corinthian Cup to the Royal Cork to cater for Echo handicaps in this non spinnaker event. The traditional Sail Regatta is on in Crosshaven Village on the same weekend from June 17-19.
"Boats are encouraged to enter now to achieve best facilities. The fact that entry fee includes marina accomodation means the ICRA Nationals are a superb event to attend" Rose said.
