Ireland Just Miss Out on Medal

Ireland Just Miss Out on Medal

Laura D’Urso and Lisa Dilleen finished fourth in the final of the women’s double scull at the World Junior Championship in Brive in France today. The Ireland crew were the only ones to stay in touch with dominant Germany early on, but as the outstanding Germans left the field behind, the Czech Republic and China pushed Ireland out of the medals. Germany had almost six seconds to spare at the finish over the Czechs. Ireland were 1.26 seconds behind China, who took the bronze. Ireland finished an extraordinary 11 seconds ahead of fifth-placed Romania.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
