Battling Ireland Win B Final
Ireland had a stirring victory in a B Final at the World Rowing Championships in Poland this morning. The legs, trunk and arms mixed coxed four beat the United States into second after a thrilling battle. The win places Ireland's crew of Emer Patten, Shane Ryan, Kevin du Toit, Sarah Caffrey and cox Amy Judge seventh in the world. Vincent Culhane and Karen Cromie finished fourth in B Final of the trunk and arms double scull.

Day Six (Irish interest) Legs, Trunk and Arms Mixed Coxed Fours – B Final (Places 7 to 11): 1 Ireland (E Patten, S Ryan, K du Toit, S Caffrey; cox: A Judge) 4:03.46, 2 United States 4:03.83, 3 Russia 4:04.58, 4 France 4:05.22, 5 Poland 4:13.94. Trunk and Arms Mixed Double Sculls – B Final (Places 7 to 11): 1 Belarus 4:57.15, 2 Russia 4:59.42, 3 France 5:00.63, 4 Ireland (K Cromie, V Culhane) 5:06.10, 5 Korea 5:20.89.
