Bronze Medal for Holly Nixon at World Under-23 Championships

#Rowing: Holly Nixon took a bronze medal at the World Under-23 Championships this morning. The Enniskillen woman was part of the Britain women’s eight which finished third to the United States and Russia. The United States were impressive winners, taking control in the second half from Russia, who had led for much of the first 1,000 metres. Britain pushed Russia hard in the closing quarter but could not catch them. It was Nixon’s first medal at international level since she took silver for Ireland at the World Junior Championships in 2011.
