Ireland Take Gold and Silver Medals at Coupe de la Jeunesse

#Rowing: Ireland’s junior men’s quadruple scull of Colm Hennessy, Eoghan Whittle, Patrick Munnelly and Andrew Goff took gold at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Szeged in Hungary today. The crew had almost two seconds to spare over Italy in second place at the European junior tournament. The Ireland women’s double of Aoife Casey and Emily Hegarty took silver behind Austria. In an exciting finish, the Skibbereen girls held off Belgium by just eight tenths of a second, with France less than a second behind the Belgians.
