More than 70 objections have been lodged against plans for a 13-storey apartment block overlooking Dun Laoghaire Harbour, as RTÉ News reports.
Afloat.ie previously covered the proposals for the fast-track strategic housing development on Crofton Road, consisting of two blocks with one offering high-rise views over the Royal Irish Yacht Club and the wider harbour.
But the €47.5 million scheme by developer Noel Smyth faces a bumpy road with numerous local objections to the towering complex, which would comprise 102 apartments — 10 of them for Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s housing list.
RTÉ News has more on the story HERE.
A site near Dun Laoghaire’s waterfront has been earmarked for a new high-rise strategic housing development.
Plans for St Michael’s SHD consist of more than 100 built-to-rent apartments across two buildings on Crofton Road, one of them as tall as 13 storeys offering views over the Royal Irish Yacht Club and the wider harbour.
The proposed development also includes a gym and co-working/study space for residents, as well as a ground-floor café and a shared right of way with access to St Michael’s Hospital.
Planning documents and other details on the development are available on its website HERE.
