Next year’s Poole Harbour Boat Show has already been cancelled, its organisers citing difficulties with planning around the coronavirus pandemic.

Boating Business reports that the largest free-to-attend boat show in the UK, which was also called off this past summer, will not return until 2022.

The next edition of the show, which attracts more than 32,000 visitors to the Dorset coastal town annually, had been scheduled for the weekend of 11-13 June 2021.

“The boat show has been a huge success over the past five years and the decision to cancel for 2021 has not been taken lightly,” said Jim Stewart, chief executive of Poole Harbour Commissioners.

“However, pressure on business resources across the marine industry and beyond is high, making planning for the future very difficult.”
