Note the number of crew leaping through the companionway after the impact - we counted four popping up from down below. The boat has now docked in Marstrand, where it will be craned out in the morning to assess the damage.
Telefonica Blue has released video of their dramatic grounding just outside of Marstrand after the start of leg nine of the Volvo Ocean Race. Although the impact is less violent than one would expect, the sound of the boat grinding on the rocks is enough to make any sailor cringe. Video is below the fold.
