Change to the lineup for the Dublin Match Racing Open

An accident involving injury to ligaments in her arm has forced Mary O’Loughlin to suspend sailing through to August including the Dublin Match Racing Open. Her place will be taken by Alex Barry. Alex is another graduate of the Irish team racing having represented Ireland at the team racing worlds in 2007. He was on the South County Rebels team that finished as runners up to the George Knights at this years IUSA Team Racing Nationals and will be taking advantage for the performance pathway reduced entry for the Open aimed at encouraging the transition from team racing into match racing.

Ger Owens will be sailing with Andy Fowler meaning that all the teams from the Inlands in the spring will be represented in Howth. The line up for the Open is now: John Sheehy, Tom Fitzpatrick, Brian Reilly, Martin Mahon, Mark Tighe, Ben Duncan, Andy Deakin, Andy Fowler, Maurice ‘Prof’ O’Connell, Conal Casey, Kim Stewart and Alex Barry
