New Imray applications for iPhones

Imray and software developer Tucabo have launched the first of a series of applications to run on the Apple iPhone providing quick reference information for sailing crews. Now available are Marine Rules and Signals with topics include buoyage, motor and sailing lights and shapes, rules of the road, safety and life saving signals; and Tides Planner with worldwide predictions and a wealth of tide and depth planning tools.

Coming soon from Imray:

Racing rules: A handy guide to the racing rules – a jointly produced App with the RYA

Boat maintenance: Simple illustrations explaining every part of a boat. Diagrams of fuel and electrical systems, sail plans and a lot moreNavigation Theory: Chart Symbols, Compass (variation/deviation), Tides (graphs, standard ports, secondary ports), Tidal Streams, Course planning and position (DR, EP, course to steer), GPS assisted navigation and waypoints.


Other Apps are in the pipeline and will cover topics including meteorology and First Aid.

Imray also plan to offer a full chart navigation program for the iPhone, all based on the Imray Digital Chart system, which also runs on PC computers.
