Viking's Harmony Range - boating, Ireland

29th November -0001
Viking Marine in Dun Laoghaire are Irish agents for La Rochelle-builder Harmony Yachts, who claim a new manufacturing process that gives them the ability to offer a high standard of finish at a competitive price.
On show at Malahide is Harmony’s 47 with a fresh interior design. The manufacturing process which they claim gives them the edge is vacuum injection, providing a uniformity of resin spread in hull construction and a saving on costs. The 47 has a ‘new look’ that is going down well in France, according to Ian O’Meara of Viking Marine, who has been the agent here for the past two years. There is one boat on Dublin bay to date and a number of enquiries in the pipeline. More cruiser than racer, the boat is finished to a high standard with a good comfort level.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven’t put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full–time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
