Ireland's Junior Women excel

Ireland won the junior women’s match by one point from England at the Home International Rowing Championships in Nottingham. England were best in the senior women’s and men’s matches, and pipped Ireland by two points in the junior men’s match. Meanwhile Ireland’s lightweight double scull won the C Final, placing them 13th overall, at the World Under-23 Championships in Racice in the Czech Republic. Lightweight single sculler Michael Maher was third in his C Final.
