Annalise Murphy had a solid start to the Laser Radial Women's World Championship finals in Karatsu, Japan this morning with a 4th and 19th place. This brings her overall position up to 15th in the 87 boat fleet after 8 races. Mari Multala of Finland has a 1 point lead in the event over US Olympic Gold Medallist Anna Tunnicliffe with Sophie de Turckheim of France and China's Olympic Bronze Medallist, Lijia Xu in 3rd and 4th respectively. Four more races are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.
