What's going on Next Week

3rd July 2009

So much to do, so little time... No excuses, though, as the sun is shining after all the rain and there’s scads of sailing – and other – events around the country this coming week. For traditionalists, the Yawl Sailing Festival at Achill Island is a must-see; there’s Championships galore (J109, Feva, Fireball, Munster Waterski Opens); but the big event of the week is the Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta 2009, a four-day sailing extravaganza with everything your little nautical heart could wish for.

The philanthropic amongst us could raise money for Temple Street Children’s Hospital at the RIB Run, for cancer treatment at the Galley Flash Rowathon, or support the Emergency Services Cycle in Skibbereen. Enjoy a Canoing River Trip, or visit any one of a number of festivals the length and breadth of the island. Have a great one!
