Smyth first in 'Champagne' Sailing Day

Champagne sailing conditions that next week's Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta race officers would surely relish greeted Dublin Bay Sailing Club's large turnout for this afternoon's race. Gusts up to 15 knots in an otherwise solid 10-12 knot southerly wind and ebbing tide were ideal for fast spinnaker legs in all classes. This was especially true in the dinghy classes where Louis Smyth crewed by Fireball class president Cormac Bradley won both races. Results over the fold:
