Battlebridge Lock-North Shannon: Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels that Battlebridge lock will close for essential maintenance during the winter season from Thur 20 Nov until Sun 1 Mar 2009. The lock and its associated lead-in jetties will be a designated construction site and therefore out of bounds to vessels and crewmembers.
