Schull harbour confirm sponsor

Schull Harbour Sailing Club  have confirmed that Howard Holding Plc will once again be title sponsors for the 2009 Calves Week sailing festival which will run from Friday, July 31st to Sunday, August 9th writes Claire Bateman. They will be joined by long time co- sponsor Saab, who will continue to sponsor individual races in Schull, Baltimore and Crookhaven.

The event this year will incorporate the McWilliam ONE Sails SCORA Southern Championships which will be sailed in both Baltimore and Schull in the early part of the week, with a prize giving ceremony in Schull on Tuesday August 4th.

Entries can be made on line at, and the good news is that entry fees will remain unchanged for the third year in a row.

The 2009 Calves Week regatta programme is:

Friday 31st July: Crosshaven / Fastnet / Schull (Overnight)

Saturday August 1st: Kinsale to Schull whitesail

Sunday August 2nd: Schull to Baltimore Race

Monday August 3th: Baltimore Regatta

Tuesday August 4th: Offshore Trophy Race

Wednesday August 5th: Cape Clear Island Fun Regatta

Thursday August 6th: Coastal Trophy race

Friday August 7th: Schull / Fastnet Rock / Crookhaven

Saturday August 8th: Crookhaven Regatta Team
