Alongside the magnificent fleet of visiting Tall Ships taking up residence along the quays, there will be the largest outdoor market in Dublin. Visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of musical and theatrical street performers, who are sure to create a great atmosphere at this buzzy cosmopolitan event.
One of the best ways to view the city is from the river itself, so why not enjoy a relaxing 30 minute cruise aboard the Liffey Voyage. All sailings will depart from the moorings at the Sean O’Casey bridge opposite the chq building with the tour giving a bird’s eye view of both the tall ships and the new Samuel Beckett Bridge. There will be sailings all day from 11am to 16.50pm and are priced at €10 for adults with concessions for students and OAPs, kids under 15 are €7 and those under 4 go free.
Pat Liddy's Walking Tours of Dublin will be operating daily walking tours during the Docklands Maritime Festival from the Segway Display Centre in chq. Hear the stories, see the hidden corners and learn more about the new developments around Dublin's former bustling quays & docks. Hour long tours depart daily from the Segway Display Centre in the chq building at 11am, 1pm and 2pm daily from Friday 29 May to Monday 01 June.
Whatever way you chose to enjoy the festival there is something to appeal to all the family. Enjoy a stroll along the quays whilst tasting the international flavours from the market, or let the little ones go wild at the kid’s area in George’s Dock, or sample what life on the ocean wave is really like with a visit aboard one of the tall ships.
The Docklands Maritime Festival is suitable for all ages. No tickets required for the festival but charges for access to attractions including tall ships may apply.
