Repechage test for Irish crews

Ireland’s two crews at the World Cup regatta in Munich face into repechages this afternoon after failing to make it through directly to the semi-finals. Both single sculler Sean Casey and the pair of Cormac Folan and Martin Walsh finished fourth this morning.

World Cup Regatta, Munich, Day One (Irish interest) Men, Pair – Heat Three (First Two Directly to Semi-Finals): 1 South Africa (S Keeling, R Di Clemente) 6:44.27, 2  France One (G Chardin, D Mortelette) 6:47.85; 4 Ireland (C Folan, M Walsh) 6:59.97. Single Scull – Heat Three (Winner Directly to Semi-Finals): 1 Norway One (O Tufte) 7:01.85; 4 Ireland (S Casey) 7:18.86.
