D2D result: She's no dumb blonde

8th June 2009

In what will be remembered as the fastest ever Dun Laoghaire to Dingle race and perhaps the best sail of the season, 32 finishers from a fleet of 37 are soaking up the atmosphere in Dingle this morning and afloat.ie can bring you a set of overall results. These are very much unofficial but we put our best man on it, so here are the results of the fastest ever Dun Laoghaire to dingle race (2009) as calculated by afloat.ie. Legally Brunette skippered by Maurice O'Connell is the overall hanidcap winner by a mere six minutes from Nicholas O'Leary in Antix Dubh. Third overall is Whisper (but we still only have a provisional handicap for her, Bill Hilly Style and Joliba). All the results plus a photo of Legally Brunette looking overpowered off the start line (weren't they all?) are over the fold. These results are subject to confirmation by the race office.
