WOW! What an amazing weekend for our fantastic clients. Inshore, offshore and one-design - well done, congratulations and Thank you for your brilliant sailing writes Maurice O'Connell of North Sails Ireland. Where to start? Here goes...

Beneteau 31.7 Nationals

Following "Camira's" victory in last year's Nationals flying North Sails, Frank Heath & Ivan Schuster on "Crazy Horse" dominated the event this year. In Ivan's words after racing on Saturday, "there would have been something wrong if we didn't do well today given how fast we were going!" and two of her three sails that she flew were over four years old.

"Crazy Horse" flew her 2015 3DL mainsail, her 2014 S2 spi and her new 3Di No. 1 genoa for the event.

Sail FASTer for LONGER

We are delighted to see North-Sails powered boats sailing fast, especially with NS sails up to seven years old! It was also notable that these results were achieved by 100% amateur crews - brilliant stuff.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full–time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
