During its annual open days (from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 November), Linssen Yachts in Maasbracht, Holland sold no less than five yachts. This represents a value of approximately EUR 2.5 million. The news comes hot on the heels of more postitive news for the Dutch builder who completed a €1m deal with five of the new Linssen Grand Sturdy range heading for the river Shannon.

The annual show, as Afloat.ie previously reported, is the time when new models are presented to the international dealer network. The sales results are also evaluated and the “Dealer of the Year Award” is presented. Providing about 30% of the total sales achieved by the network, Hennings Yachtvertrieb carried off the 2016 dealer award. Heinrich Hennings:“We have had a good year. Thanks to our strong focus on the Linssen brand, we were able build on the company’s success. That’s something we are very proud of!”

The all-new Linssen Grand Sturdy “dot zero”series was presented on paper. As an exclusive preview, the first two models were on display at the preservation stage. The first 35.0 AC and 40.0 AC will be completed by May 2017.

This time, the Linssen Yachts Boat Show attracted about 700 guests from home and abroad. Yvonne Linssen:“The Linssen Yachts Boat Show is becoming increasingly international. This year we had visitors from countries including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Austria, the UK, Finland and Sweden, as well as from the US and Ukraine. The fact that we picked up another five orders is a real confidence-booster.”
