Week Events 17th-23rd August
It looks like an Indian summer (kind of...) has come our way so we can advantage of these mild days and enjoy what’s going on around the country. The Achill Yawls are still out in all their glory in Co. Mayo, and the splendid Galway Hookers gather next weekend in Kinvara. There’s sailing from Blessington (Topper Nationals) to Dun Laoghaire (Optimist and Shipman Nationals), and Rush to Warrenpoint. Plenty of angling, too, and swimming in Newry, and the All Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships in Waterville. There's also a chance to explore Carratra Lough and it's environs by canoe with an expert naturalist on board – a must-do for wildlife enthusiasts!
