Michael Bowen - RIP

Cork's boating community is mourning the loss of Michael Bowen, formerly of Union Chandlery, this weekend. The popular marine industry figure who was known throughout Ireland, died yesterday. A note on the company website this evening reads: "It is with deep regret that we announce the untimely death of our dear friend and colleague".

Reposing at his home today in Monkstown, Co. Cork (Saturday, October 25th) from 6pm to 8.30pm. Reception into the Sacred Heart Church Monkstown tomorrow. Sunday at 12,50pm for 1pm Requiem Mass. Funeral afterwards to St.Colmans Cemetry, Cobh.
