Yesterday evening (Sunday 13 October) divers recovered a body in the search for fisherman Kodie Healy who went missing last week off West Cork, as BreakingNews.ie reports.

A major search operation was launched last Wednesday evening when the 24-year-old failed to return after setting out to tend to lobster pots in Dunmanus Bay.

Wreckage from his fishing boat was found on the coastline of the bay the following day.

Formal identification is expected to be made today but the Garda confirmed that the search, which involved all emergency services as well as the local fishing fleet and the Naval Service, has been stood down.
