Irish lead RORC fleets overnight
Anthony O'Leary's Ker 39 Antix has slipped into second place at the RORC Red Funnel Easter Challenge in the Solent, after sharing the IRC Zero lead overnight. Niklas Zennstrom's Farr 45 Ran took first blood in Sunday morning's racing to sneak into the lead. Conor Phelan's Jum Juice also led Class One overnight. The boats have one more race to sail today.

"Tomorrow (SUNDAY) should be interesting," commented Antix owner/driver Anthony O'Leary yesterday. Ran are keeping us on our toes and we are doing the same to them, which is great. On the water we are having a close battle with Tokoloshe. We are delighted that we have come here from Crosshaven, it is an excellent regatta to prepare for the season ahead."

Results for the event are here .

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven’t put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full–time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
