#NorthWales - Following the very enjoyable Dun Laoghaire Regatta, the South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club (Abersoch) and the PlasHeli Events Centre Pwllheli (Pwllhelli Sailing Club) are extending their own warm welcome to all Irish sailors to take part in two upcoming events in North Wales.
The Spinlock IRC Welsh National Championships at Pwllheli from 21-23 August and the Rybrook Jaguar Abersoch Keelboat Week from 24-28 August comprise a full eight days of racing at two top-class venues in Tremadoc Bay.
Already the winner of IRC 0 in Dublin Bay, Jump Juice, has confirmed attendance at both events, and organisers are sure boat and crew will have some very competitive racing with the likes of Stratisfear (Royal Dee YC), Dark Angel (Swansea YC), Imposter (SCYC), the J/109 Storm (Howth YC) and Tsunami (National YC), among many more top boats.
There will be separate starts for the smaller IRC boats, such as the winner of IRC 3 in Dublin, Cri Cri (Royal Irish YC), who will be a very welcome return visitor to Pwllheli to take on the Liverpool and Abersoch boats among others already on the entry list.
What's more, mooring is free for all visitors at Pwllheli and SCYC for the duration of both events – a wonderful offer of hospitality from the Welsh boats that have long supported Cork Week, the Sovereign's Cup, the Dun Laoghaire Regatta, the ICRA Nationals and more. The week presents the perfect opportunity for Irish boats to return the favour.
