A Totally New Ireland
We are delighted to continue to offer luxury yacht charter on the
beautiful coast of Southern Ireland. Hailed by many as the finest
cruising area in Europe, it is a completely unspoilt area of small
harbours and bays, rock inlets and offshore islands.
From the moment you arrive in Ireland and are met by our hostess, you
will be welcomed into a different world of luxury, hospitality and
relaxation.
Although our holidays are completely tailor-made to your personal requirements, we have suggested an itinerary that we think will provide the best possible enjoyment of this part of Ireland. If you wish for a different itinerary, or have specific areas you wish to visit, then we will design a holiday specifically for you. We have combined luxury yacht charter with a selection of World Class hotels from where you can explore the delights of mystical Ireland, her history, scenery and people.
We have carefully selected several Hotels that we feel offer the
very finest of traditional service and quality that our clients expect.
Some of the hotels have been created from old castles and some from the
Great Houses of Ireland. All have in common something unique to Ireland
– the famous Irish Welcome.

Your luxury yacht
A 67' Ketch Sailing Yacht which was rebuilt in England in 2002 to conform to MCA regulations for charter. She is ideal for cruising the Irish coastline, she has a powerful engine which enable her to reach port quickly and safely. Her interior is beautifully paneled in lacquered Teak. The decks are clear and uncluttered, and the centre cockpit provides a safe and comfortable area for seating and dining on deck. Accommodation is for six guests in 3 double cabins. She has a sheltered steering position giving protection and all round visibility in all weathers. Your experienced Captain and chef are on hand to ensure that your holiday is comfortable and enjoyable. Feel free to join in with the sailing, or just relax and be pampered. The crew will be happy to show you the charming harbours and you can explore small bays with the fast RIB dinghy.
The Fastnet Coast
The Fastnet Rock – probably the most famous landmark in the history of
yachting. Legends have been woven about yachts racing in the Fastnet
Race. However, little is known about the historical coastline of which
it stands guard.
From the Kenmare River where you join your yacht, the coast is a series
of rocky inlets, spectacular cliffs and sheltered bays. Names such as
Bantry Bay, Spanish Cove, and Roaring Water Bay all conjure up the
romance and history of this part of Ireland. The sailing is excellent –
and the many offshore islands make sailing this coast a pleasure.
Exciting events include 'Calves Week' at Schull, and one of the world's
premiere yachting events, Cork Week, hosted by the world's oldest yacht
club, The Royal Cork. In alternate years (e.g. 2005) The Glandore
Classic Yacht Regatta takes place and we can arrange for you to take
part in Vintage or Modern yachts and enjoy being part of the fun
yachting family.
Itineraries can be tailor made to suit your requirements. All tours are
optional and are free of charge. Sailing itineraries may change due to
weather.

Galway Bay Anchorage
Galway Bay
Charts: AC 2173, 3339, 1984, 1904; Imray C55; Irish OS 45, 46, 51
Shelter: Galway Bay is sheltered from large swells by Aran
Islands, but seas get up in the 20M from Aran to Galway. Beware Salmon
drift nets in the approaches to many bays.
Navigation: Enter Galway Bay through one of four Sounds:
• North Sound, between Inishmore and Golam Tower (conspic.), 4.5M
wide, is easiest but beware Brocklinmore Bank in heavy weather.
• Gregory Sound, between Inishmore and Inishmaan, is free of dangers but give Straw Island a berth of 2-3ca.
• Foul Sound, between Inishmaan and Inisheer; only danger is Pipe Rock (dries) at end of reef extending 3ca NW of Inisheer.
• South Sound between Inisheer and mainland. Only danger is Finnis Rock
(dries 0.4m) 4.5ca SE of E point of Inisheer (marked by ECM buoy Q (3)
10s). From S, Beware Kilstiffin Rocks off Liscanor Bay.
Lights/Marks: Black Head lt Fl WR 5s 20m 11/8M H24, vis 045°-W-268°-R (covers Illanloo Rock)-276°
Bunowen Bay
53°24’.6N 10°06.9W Sheltered in W-NE winds; unsafe in S’ly. Easy
approach with Bunowen House bearing 000°, leaving Mullauncarrickscoltia
Rock (1.1m) to port. Anchorage in 3-4m below conspic. Doon Hill.
No facilities.
Roundstone Bay AC2709
53°23’N 09°54’.5W Safe shelter/access except in SE’ly. 4 Y visitors’
moorings are 5ca SSE of Roundstone, or anchorage in 2m off N quay.
Other anchorages are E’ward in Bertraghboy and Cashel Bays.
Lights/Marks: Croaghnakeela Is Fl 3.7s 7m 5M. Inishnee lt Fl (2) WRG 10s 9m 5/3M, W sector 017°-030°.
Facilities: Shop, Fresh Water, Bar, Post, Bus to Galway
Kilkieran Bay
Easy entrance abm. conspic. Golam Tower. 12 Y visitors’ moorings off Kilkieran. Many anchorages in 14M long, sheltered bay.
Facilities: Bar, Phone, Petrol, Shop, Bus to Galway
Kiggaul Bay
Easy ent, H24; anchorage close W/NW of lt Fl WR 3s 5/3M. Depth 3 to 4m; exposed to S/SE winds
Lights/Marks: Fl WR 3s 5m 5/3M, 329°-W-359°-R-059°.
Facilities: Bar (no Phone), Shop at Lettermullen (1M)
Greatman Bay
Beware English Rock (dries 1.2m), Keeraun Shoal (breaks in heavy
weather), Arkeena Rock, Trabaan Rk, Rin Rocks and Chapel Rocks.
Anchorage off Natawny Quay (E side), or on 4 Y visitors’ moorings off
Maumeen Quay (dries), AB possible.
Facilities: Maumeen: Shop, Petrol (1M), Bar
Cashla Bay
Easiest hbr on this coast; ent in all weather. Anchorage and 8 Y
visitors’ moorings off Sruthan Quay. Rossaveel, on E side, is a busy
fishing and ferry hbr.
Lights/Marks: Killeen Pt Fl (3) WR 10s 6/3M; Lion Pt Dir lt 101°, Iso WRG 4s 8/6M, 008.5°-W-011.5°. Rossaveel ldg lts 116°, Oc3s.
Facilities: Carraroe (1M SW) Shop, Hotel, Phone; Rossaveel HM

Note: No safe hbr from Cashla to Galway (20M).
Bays between Black Head and Galway have rocks and shoals but give excellent shelter.

53°14’.6N 09°00W Beware Black Rock (dries 4.1m) on S shore. N shore is
clean; can be approached to within 0.5ca below half tide. Anchorage SW
of quay in 2m, mud. Visitors’ moorings available. Contact GBSC for
availability.
Facilities: Galway Bay Sailing Club (Tel. 091 794527) Fresh Water; Oranmore (2M) Shop, Bar, Hotel.
Kinvara Bay
Kinvara Bay
53°09’N 09°10’.5W Enter with caution on the flood; beware rocks. Berth
in small drying hbr. At neaps there is anchorage 2.5ca from Kinvara
with 2m at LWN.
Facilities: Shop, Bar, Post
Aughinish Bay
South Bay
Beware fish farm.
Ballyvaughan Bay
Enter either side of Illaunloo Rock, leads to two piers (both dry) or anchorage close NE in pool (3m). Best access HW±2.
Aran Islands
Beware marine farm activity.
Lights/Marks: Eeragh Island (Rk Is) Fl 15s 35m 23M, W tr, B
bands. Inishmaan unlit. Inisheer: Iso WR 12s 34m 20/16M, Racon, vis
225°-W-245° (partially obscd 225°-231° beyond 7m), R sector covers
Finnis Rock.
Killeany Bay
53°08’N 09°38’W Only reasonable shelter, but exposed to E/NE winds
and crowded with fishing vessels. 8 Y visitors’ moorings available; or
anchorage S of Kilronan pier; or anchorage E of Killeany Pt.
Lights/Marks: Straw Is, Fl (2) 5s 11m 17M. Kilronan pier Fl WG 1.5s. Ldg lts 192° both Oc 5s for Killeany hbr.
Facilities: HM (Tel 099 61150), Shop, Diesel, Fresh Water, Post, Ferry to Galway, Plane to Galway (airstrip near beach).

Yacht Charter For the experienced skipper why not charter our (6 berth) 35’ Beneteau Oceanis yacht. Dingle Bay is a superb sailing area with many sheltered anchorages, magnificent scenery and interesting islands. An abundance of seals, puffins and other wildlife will be encountered on your cruise around the bay and islands. Our Beneteau Oceanis 351 Clipper is very fast with taut lines, maximum waterline length and a wide beam ensuring excellent stability. The saloon and galley offer full headroom (1.9m) and plenty of working/stowage space. Two equal sized aft cabins and a generous forward cabin provide ocean-going accommodation. Boat Charter Why not do a private charter with a crewed passenger boat departing from Dingle harbour. Groups of up to 70 can make Dingle Bay their own with a short cruise to the beautiful cliff scenery just outside the Dingle harbour or venture further offshore to the Blasket islands, the most westerly islands in Europe. (Landing is possible on the Great Blasket Island). For special interest groups such as birdwatchers and photographers the possibilities are endless with the spectacular scenery of the Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands combined with the myriad variety of bird and sea life (Puffin, Gannet, Chough and more). Dingle–Valentia Ferry We now offer a ferry service operating between Dingle and Knightstown, Valentia island. The crossing takes about 1 hour. The ferry can take up to 12 passengers, luggage and bicycles if required. Currently the ferry is only available on a charter basis. If you have a group that wish to avail of the service see our contact details above. The cost for a one way transfer (Dingle/Valentia or Valentia/Dingle) is €300 for the group.
Blasket Ferry Loch an Iasc is a fast (40 Minute) 12 passenger ferry from Dingle Marina to the Great Blasket Island. Watch out for Fungie the dolphin at the entrance to Dingle Harbour, then sit back and soak in the scenery as you round Slea Head and approach the Blasket Island. The island evacuated in 1953, was home to many famous Irish writers including Peig Sayers. Walk the 1100 acres of unspoilt largely mountainous terrain, relax on the beautiful beach or explore the abandoned village and the fascinating cultural and literary history of the island. The ferry departs from Dingle Yacht Marina every 2 hours. Return Trip prices: Adult €30, Child under 12 €15.
Eco Tour Take a fascinating tour of the most westerly islands in Europe! Enjoy a fascinating 3-hour guided tour of the Blasket islands aboard our two new 70 passenger Eco Tour Boats. Soak in the magnificent scenery of Inisvickilaun (look out for the herd of Red deer), Inisnabro (Cathedral rocks) and the Great Blasket Island. Cruise among the seals, puffins, gannets and other seabirds of the outer islands while keeping watch for whales, dolphins and porpoises. Make sure to bring your camera!
