Last Saturday's Race 15 of the ISORA calendar was the year's final cross-channel race, but the results from this weekend's final two Viking Marine Irish coastal races will decide the overall Wolf's Head Trophy.

Already, the series' biggest contenders have announced they will be on the line for the season's conclusion, with Pete Smyth's Ker 46 Searcher and Frank Whelan's canting keel 65-footer Opal both racing.

The Irish night race will be on Friday, September 27th, a three-hour race starting at 18.00 and the postponed Irish coastal race two will be on Saturday, September 28th, with the usual 10.00 start for a five-hour race.

Although the overall leader won last weekend's 80-miler from Dun Laoghaire to Pwllheli, the J122 Mojito (Vicky Cox and Peter Dunlop), on 534.6 points, is still being chased for the overall title by the J109 Ruth (Shanahan family) from Dun Laoghaire, 2.7 points adrift on 531.9. ISORA Chief Peter Ryan said last weekend, 'We calculate that the series will be decided after the last race!'
