COVID restriction changes occurring in Poland this morning means Annalise Murphy and the Irish Laser Team contesting the Senior European Championships and Open European Trophy on Gdansk Bay this weekend must wear a mask to cover the nose and mouth 'wherever you are, even outside', according to the Championships organisers.
The whole of Poland is now being treated as a ‘yellow zone’ in a bid to curtail the spread of COVID, according to the organisers who are providing health checks as part of the regatta set-up.
COVID regatta test option at €100
Organisers say that if competitors need a COVID test before going home that a nurse will take samples in the race office on Monday (12.10) evening at the cost of €100 per test.
Gdansk has proved a challenging venue for the Irish Olympic Sailing Team after two days of competition in shifty offshore breezes so far, as Afloat reports here.
