The Clyde Marine Planning Partnership (CMPP) has paid tribute to former chair Isabel Glasgow, who died earlier this month of pancreatic cancer.

Isabel, who was also chair of the Clyde 2020 initiative, “contributed so much of her valuable time, expertise and passion” towards the partnership, which added: “For this, we will always be grateful.”

According to the CMPP, Isabel “had an extensive, and positive, influence on environmental management in Scotland over many years and her experience was wide-ranging”.

“Throughout her career, she was a member of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs Interim Committee and chair of its Natural and Cultural Heritage Reporting Group, a member of the Joint Advisory Committee of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park as well as being involved in various Scottish Natural Heritage Board roles.

“Isabel was instrumental in setting up, and developing, the Firth of Clyde Forum and led the forum to produce the first non-statutory marine plan in 2010; subsequently guiding it to become the Clyde Marine Planning Partnership.

“Isabel was a great support to the CMPP team, enjoyable to work with and is already deeply missed.”
