Casey Secures Place in C Final
Ireland’s Sean Casey took second place in this morning’s C/D Semi-Final at the World Rowing Championships in Poland. The race was won by Mario Vekic of Croatia, while Chile’s Oscar Vasquez Ochoa took the third qualification place. The three will compete in the C Final for places 13-18 on Friday.

Day Four (Irish interest) Men’s Single Scull, C/D Semi-Finals (First Three to C Final; rest to A Final): 1 Croatia (M Vekic) 6:55.21, 2 Ireland (S Casey) 6:58.49, 3 Chile (O Vasquez Ochoa) 7:01.48; 4 India 7:02.09, 5 Iraq (J Nozad) 7:16.19.
