Lisa Dilleen and Sanita Puspure qualified for the A Final at the Rowing World Cup in Munich with a heart-warming second-place finish in the semi-final of the women’s double scull. The race was won convincingly by the top boat of two from Belarus which started in the middle two lanes, but Ireland and Romania muscled out the second Belarus boat, which finished fourth. Dilleen and Puspure won a battle with Romania to take second, which will give them a good lane draw in tomorrow’s final.
