Ireland add Silver and Bronze to Gold at Coupe de la Jeunesse

#Rowing: Ireland completed its medal tally at the Coupe de la Jeunesse today as the junior women’s double scull and single sculler Dervla Forde added silver and bronze to the gold won earlier by the men’s quadruple. The double of Aoife Casey and Emily Hegarty took second behind Austria and comfortably ahead of Belgium while Forde was third in the junior single scull. In a battle for the final medal she held of Eszter Kremer of hosts Hungary by .85 of a second.

Junior Double – Heat Two: 2 Ireland (A Casey, E Hegarty) 8:26.31. A Final: 1 Austria 8:03.17, 2 Ireland 8:05.35, 3 Belgium 8:08.30.

Junior Single – Heat One: 2 Ireland (D Forde) 9:10.43. A Final: 1 Britain (A Bowyer) 8:49.29, 2 Austria (J Kristof) 8:53.70, 3 Ireland 8:57.46.
