Enniskillen Junior Women Cap Great Weekend with Win at Commercial Regatta

7th April 2019

#Rowing: In a very good final race of Commercial Regatta, the hosts had to give way to Enniskillen in the women’s junior 18 eight. Commercial pushed the visitors right to the finish.

There was also very tight race in the men’s junior 18 doubles, where Commercial B beat Three Castles by just two foot. Grace Healy of the host club capped a great weekend for her by winning the women’s junior 18 single sculls.

Glenn Patterson of Sligo beat Commercial’s Niall Beggan in the single sculls – Beggan caught a crab and Patterson took advantage to win. Patterson and Brian Colsh went on to win the men’s senior doubles.

At the top end of the programme, Trinity beat Commercial in the men’s intermediate eight, while UCD’s women continued their good run with a win in the intermediate eights, also over the hosts.
