Deferred Cork Head Cancelled

6th March 2020

The deferred Cork Head of the River has now been cancelled. The rowing event at the Marina was originally scheduled for last Saturday, February 29th, but then pushed forward to this Saturday, March 7th, in the hope that the weather would improve. However, after a meeting on Thursday night, the organisers decided to cancel. They said that due to the adverse weather and in the interest of safety they were forced to abandon the plan to hold the event this weekend, but hoped to reschedule it later in the year.

The six events set to make up the rowing programme for 2020 so far have all been cancelled because of the weather.
