Following the new restrictions recommended by the Government to deal with Covid-19, Rowing Ireland has advised clubs to take action on ‘a case by case basis’.
- Training outdoors is preferable, as gyms can be a base for the breeding of germs
- Equipment should be cleaned properly before each session
- Changing rooms and showers should not be used; rather rowers should come in their gear and return home to wash
- Paper towels should be used. Athletes should abide by HSE guidelines when washing
