Harbour Company Letter Sets Out Plans for Carlisle Pier

As demoliton work on the Carlisle Pier reveals views over the Victorian harbour not seen for generations, the Chief Executive of the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company , Gerry Dunne, has a letter published in the Irish Times this morning rebutting an article by the newspaper's Environmental editor Frank McDonald. The Harbour Company letter is here. Among other things, Dunne sets out the plans for the new space that will include parking spaces for 50 boats. The Company have lodged a planning application in respect of the Pier. An afloat.ie forum thread seeking suggestions for the future usage of the pier is here
