Money to stage Ireland's sailing and boating regattas next season could be at hand if event organisers apply for funding from Bord Failte under the national festivals programme. The initiative advertised in the national press this morning is intended to assist festival organisers showcase Ireland's culture and heritage and to attract domestic and international tourists. A number of regattas are currently on the sponsorship hunt including the Round Ireland Race. Cork Week 2010 is also without a titie sponsor.
