#Rowing: Sanita Puspure brought Ireland’s tally of semi-finalists at the World Rowing Championships to four today. The single sculler finished second in a close finish of her quarter-final, where three qualified. Tatsiana Kukhta of Belarus won, but the next three – Puspure, Zimbabwe’s Micheen Thornycroft and Fiona Bourke of New Zealand, were covered by three-quarters of a second, with Bourke losing out.
Pararower Karol Doherty took third place in his C/D semi-final, and will compete in the C Final.
