Operator Viking Splash Tours faces liquidation later this month but its owners hope buyers will offer the business a lifeline.

The amphibious-vehicle tour of Dublin, which culminates in a trip on the Grand Canal Basin in the 'docklands', has not operated since Covid-19 struck in March.

Companies behind the tour business, including Duk Tours Ltd, will hold creditors’ meetings on November 26th, according to notifications published on Thursday.

They have nominated corporate rescue specialist, Jim Luby of McStay Luby, as liquidator.

About J Class Yachts

The J Class has its roots in the oldest sporting race in the world, The America’s Cup.

The founding of the J Class Association (JCA) in 2000 to protect the interests of the Class, present and future, accelerated a real revival.

Class Rules were established for the construction of replica rebuilds from original plans and several replicas and original designs were subsequently built.

The class, which today comprises nine boats, now has an annual calendar highlighted by the Caribbean and Mediterranean sailing seasons.
