Irish 420 Shines in Huge Kiel Fleet

Irish 420 Shines in Huge Kiel Fleet

Irish 420 pairing Jane Butler and Jenny Adreasson have put in an impressive show at Kieler Woche, finishing 16th out of 192 boats. The German event is one of the largest sailing festivals in the world, and a 192-boat fleet was the largest taking part. Just five races took place and even with the fleets split in three for early stages, there were still more than 160 boats on every start line.

Butler and Andreasson, representing the Royal St George Yacht Club, sailed a consistent series, avoiding the black flag that felled so many competitors over the course of the week.

Olympic Finn sailor Tim Goodbody also took part, sailing an OK dinghy. He posted a string of top five results to finish third overall in the 34-boat fleet.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
