#Fishing - Fishing harbours in Galway are set to share in a €200,000 funding bonus, as Galway Bay FM reports.
The additional funding under the 2015 Fishery Harbour Capital Investment Programme will go to the small craft harbour development at Rossaveal, and slipway works and seaweed landing facilities at Cé Eanach Mheáin in Carraroe.
It follows the news last week that a further €3.9m has been allocated for works at Ireland's six fishery harbour centres, Cape Clear and other marine infrastructures owned by the Department of the Marine, with an additional €1.1m for 17 local authority projects.
The new €5m package announced my Marine Minister Simon Coveney in Castletownbere on Monday (20 July) brings the total capital investment under this programme in 2015 to €22.9m.
